Notifications and reminders

SteadyOn keeps overdue and at-risk work in front of you so nothing slips. Today that happens inside the app; scheduled email and SMS alerts are being rolled out (see Status below).

  • Your dashboard. The Today’s Focus card lists the Red and Amber items that need attention — overdue actions, hazards due for review, inspections coming up. It’s the first thing to check each morning. See Your dashboard.
  • BRAG colours everywhere. Every list colours its rows by urgency — Blue (plenty of time), Green (on track), Amber (due soon), Red (overdue or critical). Sort or filter a list by BRAG to see what’s pressing. See The BRAG status system.

When something counts as Amber or Red is configurable per organisation. Admins set the day and percentage windows under Settings → Organisation → Lookups → BRAG — see Adjust BRAG thresholds.

Open Settings → User → Notification Preferences to choose how you’d like to be alerted:

  • Email — when your actions approach their due date (Amber), and when they become overdue (Red).
  • SMS — add a mobile number, then opt in to a text when your actions go overdue or when a notifiable incident is logged.

Admins and owners also see organisation-wide options — a daily digest of overdue items, and an immediate alert for notifiable incidents.

Regardless of preferences, your organisation’s admins and owners receive an email when a public report comes in (a hazard or incident submitted through your public reporting link), with a link straight to the record.

The in-app dashboard and BRAG colours are fully live and are the reliable way to track what’s due. The email and SMS preferences above are being switched on — you can set them now so they’re ready, but scheduled email/SMS delivery isn’t sending for every event yet. The public-report admin alert is live today.
